Guess what's on TV right now?
Guess who's going to watch it while they wait for their husband to get home from work?
Yup.

Friday Night Plans...In Pictures.
Dinner with the girls at a hibachi/sushi place. I LOVE the flaming onion tower trick. Fabulous. Hibachi places are a little dangerous for southern girls though, we tend to have a high concentration of hairspray and perfume on...making us highly flammable.
Back to FFW's fabulously pink and green apartment to make some homemade valentine's!

Maybe a few adult beverages? A la Sex and the City?
Girl-time...gossip, chit-chat, stupid jokes, giggling...I love it all :) This picture is in no way pertinent to the planned activities - I just thought it was funny...
And of course...pajama's! Because I'm sleeping over at FFW's apartment tonight - Newlywed Husband is on his own! (In case you didn't know, FFW and I were roommates in college - she's the only roommate I've ever liked. I've had 7 total. Kinda funny, really. Hubby doesn't count, he's not a roommate, and of course I like living with him :)
Maybe Saturday morning we'll go to see "New In Town", with Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. (be still my beating heart). So excited!

Coraline.
I intended to see this movie when it comes out on February 6th, and decided to read the book today in anticipation of going to see the movie. It's a children's suspense/scary novel. It's SCARY! It's about 193 pages, but I flew through it in about 40 minutes because it was so creepy that I wanted to hurry up and get to the end.
It's probably safe to say I won't be seeing the movie.

New Friends and Fun!
So...I was honored and super-duper-excited to be asked by the lovely Denee of She Just Got Married to be one of the regular bloggers on her new website. She Just Got Married is designed for brides, brides-to-be, and newlyweds as a forum to share ideas and thoughts, exchange funny stories about married life, and sell and buy wedding stuff. It's a wonderful site, and I'm excited to be a part of it!

Spring Wishes...
Don't think I'm crazy, but I'm longing for a warm weather, pretty dresses, and some iced tea! (Or a Long Island Iced Tea...either one will do!)
Slipping Into Work...A Little Late :)
Hi friends! I'm running a bit late today - due to the massively crazy ice storm we had in Dallas this morning! It started spitting freezing rain yesterday about 5:00pm, and by 6:30 the roads were pretty slippery (Newlywed Hubby decided it was a good night to have a business dinner until 8:00...I questioned his judgement on that decision for sure :)
We woke up this morning to sheets of ice where the roads should be - and everything else, for that matter! Poor Winston almost wiped out on the patio trying to go into the yard to do his morning potty break!
Here's the view from our front porch of the intersection in front of our house - note the giant icy spot in the lower left hand side of the picture.
Another view from our front porch. (Side note: our landscapers are faboulous, see the cute little trees they put lining the walkway for the holiday season? Love them!)
A close-up of a bush next to the house. Completely ice-coated, poor little thing!

Needless to say, after watching Newlywed Husband slide backward about 5 feet on the driveway before bailing out by putting 2 tires on the lawn...I wasn't going anywhere this morning! I made some calls, and checked my e-mail and voicemails from the kitchen. Winston was happy to have some company, and to be in the warm house instead of out in the cold dampness this morning!!!
Just got the the office, I'd better get to work!

Red, White, and Black...
I know this color combo has been done to DEATH, but I still can't help loving it!
This headband is totally adorable - sadly I can't wear headbands for more than an hour or two, they always manage to give me a terrific migrane headache. It's so stinkin' cute though :)

Martini Math
I hated math. Fractions, percents, and decimals were confusing, algebra made me cry, and trigonometry...Wait, who am I kidding, I never made it to trig :)
My husband finds my inability to figure out 5x5 in my head to be amusing, of course HE is able to do complicated equations in his head AND leap buildings in a single bound...but he's a man.
We all have our gifts. I'd like to see him create an entire outfit based solely on a pair of earrings in under 30 seconds. Or figure out what chiffon is. Or, make this delicious drink, which I devised out of boredom while waiting for him to come home last night :)
The I-Don't-Need-Math-To-Be-Fabulous-Martini
You need 1 part Cranberry juice (about 1/3 cup)
1 part Orangeade (I used diet, but you can use the fully leaded, if you prefer)
And 1 part Pineapple-Coconut Liqueur (DeKuyper is cheap and yummy)

Budget-Friendly Fashion Finds.
So...I've been put on a budget. It's not like I spend excessively, but we are saving to pay taxes (I know, owing money instead of getting a return is kind of awful - being a grown-up sucks sometimes), and we are wanting to re-do our bathrooms soon (more about that later). So, yours truly is about to embark on the attempt to save some $$$ and still look cute! Here are a couple of my finds so far - just click on the links to go to the website where you can buy this super-cute stuff!
Charlie's Angels 3???
According to Perez Hilton (the Goddess of all Media), there might be a 3rd Charlie's Angels movie in the works! So exciting! Here is the link to the story, and here's hoping it's not just a rumor :)
Superbowl Thought...
Will I be watching the Super Bowl this year? Not unless I'm bribed to do so with excessive amounts of Miller Light and some 7-Layer Dip.
Rainy Day Polyvore...
It's rainy and cold here in Dallas...I'm in a shift dress, sandals, and a cardigan. I wish I was cozied up in this cute little outfit:

New Blogger Alert!
Hehehehe! My best friend is finally on Blogger (it's about time Miss Procrastination)! We've been best friends since I attacked met her in the elevator of our dorms freshman year of college...don't ask how long ago that was, we aren't telling you!
Her new blog is here...go NOW!
My Favorite Things That Start With C...
The super-fabulous Pink Tutu has tagged me for the letter game! My letter is C...so here we go!
1. Chanel J12 Watch
So fabulous and chic - but isn't everything Chanel like that?
2. Camera
It's digital, it's tiny, I take it everywhere.
3. Christmas!
I love the smells, the decorations, the songs, wrapping presents...everything about it!
4. Cocktail Dresses
Because putting one on makes you feel instantly prettier.
5. Chardonnay.
Refreshing and crisp, this is definitely my summer drink of choice.
6. Clinique Lipstick
Makes my lips soft and adds just the right hint of color!
7. Cancun
An hour and a half on a plane, 20 minutes on a shuttle, and you're sitting on a beach with a margarita, some chips, and the start of a great suntan!
8. Candles
They make any atmosphere seem prettier and more welcoming. Plus, they're super-romantic:)
9. Cupcakes
Like little presents - with frosting!!!
10. Christian Louboutin.
What more is there to say but that they are the ultimate in fabulousness!
If you want to play, leave me a comment and I'll give you a letter!

I Totally Have A Girl Crush On...
She's so the epitomy of bad-girl fab, don't you agree? And her hair is always always always exquisite. And her clothes. And her makeup. She kind of makes me sick, actually. But I still think she's gorgeous.
Dear Mrs.O,
Michelle, let's talk. Just us girls. First of all, this is not in any way a political rant, or an effort to bring the subject of your husband's political views into my bedazzled and sequined little blog. I have no desire to talk politics. Just ask my husband, who has to listen to me whine every time he even attempts to change the channel from the Style Network or Bravo to something slightly more edifying...such as CNN.
I am much more interested in chatting about your First Lady STYLE than any old stuffy state of the nation. Shhh, I know I sound superficial here. Let me clarify that I'd love to hear about your charity work, worthy causes that I can contribute to, etc. But listening to the horrifying stories about global warfare, economic crashes, and terrorism can kind of give a girl a complex after a while.
Let's get down to the fun stuff, starting with this fabulousness:
Honey, that's some really great hair! Love it!
Let's not ever go back to this, ok? It kinda makes you look like Whitney, and let's face it - if you're not going to start belting out "And I Will Always Love You" then this hairstyle is just not for you.
There is good 'BIG hair', and there is, how shall we say...atrocious, poorly executed bouffant hair. This? This is good 'BIG hair'. I'm a Texan, and we know big hair - trust me!
Now, on to the fun stuff (as we all know that one's hair is a serious business, and one not to be joked with).
Betsey Johnson - honey we ALLL know how fabulous she is. But please, I am down on both of my knobby little knees begging you - DON'T ever wear this dress. It's just a bit gauche for the First Lady.
The always-classy Oscar de la Renta? Gorgeous - and love that he does not forget the little Obama's as well. They are growing up to be beautiful like their mama - yes? You've got simply fab arms, so I'd work the sleeveless thing for all it's worth. If only I had your muscle tone...sigh. (Oh wait, that would require working out - never mind, then).
Zac Posen seems to be on a one-man mission to ugly you up. Don't fall for his cute little baby-face - he is trying to make you older and more severe than you actually are.
Oh my. I can't decide which it is: the 80's bangs, the puffed sleeves, or the fringe on the arms that are the most disturbing? Either way Michelle, my dear - don't fall for the charms of Zac P.
Ah yes...beauty. Wear Monique Lhuillier EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. This is simply gorgeous. You have the height for such a voluminous dress (lucky girl), so take a few risks with proportion.
